IT Security Engineer – Internet Proxy & Remote Access
The Julius Baer Group is seeking an IT security engineer who will be responsible for the company's Internet proxy and remote access infrastructure and ensure that the connection for thousands of remote users worldwide is resilient and policy-compliant. The IT Security Engineer should have experience in managing Zurich Internet Access (ZIA) and Citrix NetScaler and be able to solve complex security problems.
Tasks
The main tasks include:- Design, implementation, and operation of secure web and remote access infrastructure
- Operation and maintenance of the Enterprise Zurich Internet Access (ZIA) platform
- Administration and support of Citrix NetScaler (or Citrix ADC) as the primary gateway for corporate SSL VPN and zero-trust remote access applications
- Support for solutions such as Julius Baer's Proxy Access (ZPA)
- Management of incident response measures for complex disruptions
- Maintaining 100% uptime for Internet proxy and remote access solutions
- Collaborating with other teams to improve system architectures and operational processes
- Continuous improvement of services by increasing system reliability, security, performance, observability, and automation
Requirements
The requirements for candidates are:- Expertise in Zurich technologies with experience in implementing and managing Zurich Internet Access (ZIA) and Private Access (ZPA)
- Operational experience with Citrix NetScaler (Citrix ADC/Gateway) for SSL VPN and BYVO access
- Knowledge of secure web gateways, proxy architectures, zero trust principles, and remote access security models
- Basic knowledge of network technologies such as firewalls, IP telephony, load balancing, WAF concepts, TLS/SSL, DNS, etc.
- Practical experience in key areas of IT security, such as public key infrastructure (PKI), privileged access management (PAM), secure remote management (SRM), or multi-factor authentication (MFA) frameworks
- At least 2-3 years of experience in 2nd and 3rd line engineering or operations roles supporting enterprise IT security services
- Relevant academic background (e.g., bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information security, or related disciplines) or equivalent practical experience
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CSA, CEH, etc. are advantageous.
