IT System Engineer / Administrator - Fircosoft Platform 100% (m/f/d)
The Julius Baer Group is seeking an IT Systems Engineer/Administrator for the Fircosoft platform, who will be responsible for the technical implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the platform. The successful candidate will be part of the Application Integration team and will work closely with the IT, Compliance, and Operations teams.
Your challenge
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining Fircosoft software and related infrastructure, including servers and databases.
- Develop, test, and optimize Fircosoft rules to accurately detect and flag suspicious transactions and potential sanctions violations.
- Regularly evaluate system performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement adjustments to enhance verification accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with IT, compliance, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration into existing workflows and provide technical support for system-related incidents.
- Ensure that Fircosoft operations comply with international sanctions regulations, group-wide compliance guidelines, and internal procedural standards.
- Investigate and resolve system problems, including filter errors and malfunctions in critical components.
- Creating comprehensive change logs, generating performance reports, and documenting functional requirements and process flows.
- Monitoring evolving regulatory requirements, updates to global sanctions lists, and new versions of the Fircosoft platform.
- Contribute to the improvement of complex IT systems and play a key role in solution design and architecture discussions.
- Apply strong analytical, organizational, and conceptual thinking skills throughout the project cycle—from project management and systems analysis to quality assurance.
Your profile
- Degree in computer science from a university or technical college, with proven experience as a systems engineer/administrator in highly regulated environments.
- Solid understanding of Fircosoft products, including FircoContinuity, FircTrust, and Fircro Screen & Keep.
- Experience with list management, quality assurance, and maintaining audit trails.
- Familiarity with relevant financial regulations, such as OFAC, HMT, EU, and UN sanctions lists, and practical experience with sanctions screening processes.
- Strong technical skills, including database administration (Oracle), PKI, SSH, digital certificates, IP.
