Italy Coverage - Analyst/Associate

Nomura's Italian branch is seeking an analyst or associate for its investment banking team to build long-term relationships with Italian and European companies and support transactions such as M&A, capital market transactions, and leveraged buyouts. The ideal candidate will have experience in investment banking, excellent analytical skills, and very good communication skills in Italian and English.

Job description

The Italian Coverage Department is seeking an analyst who can assist in building and maintaining long-term relationships with large Italian and European companies and private equity firms. The analyst will also assist in executing transactions within the region.

Tasks

* Typical work involves a mix of execution and customer service, including:
  • Company profile creation
  • Pitch preparation
  • Support with evaluation
  • financial analysis
  • Support with due diligence
  • Deal financing and process management
* Coordination and collaboration with all other product, geography, and industry teams is required, including: M&A, Leverage Finance, Debt Capital Markets, and Equity Capital Markets * Opportunity to work on a variety of transaction types, including: sell-side M&A, buy-side M&A, equity raising, and leveraged buyouts

Requirements

* Previous experience in M&A/corporate finance in investment banking, corporate, or boutique environment * Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to perform data analysis * Strong communication skills: ability to interact confidently with banking professionals and clients * Teamwork: experience in a project-based environment with tight deadlines * Excellent academic record * Fluent in Italian and English
