The position of Java Associate Engineer - Market Data Platform involves developing a highly scalable data platform that processes billions of data points from thousands of data sources. The platform combines Java and Python, with fundamentals from Kafka, Apache Spark, MongoDB, and more.

Requirements

The following are required:

• Strong academic credentials and a degree with a high level of mathematical and computer science content, e.g., computer science, mathematics, engineering, or physics.
• 2+ years of professional experience as a software developer with Java or Python as your primary language
• Knowledge of Linux platforms and a good understanding of Git
• Deep knowledge of one or more solution technologies, such as Kubernetes, Postgres, or MongoDB
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and teaching skills
• Ability to work independently and gather stakeholder requirements

Advantageous, but not required, are:

• Familiarity with distributed systems and orchestration
• Experience with performance optimization and large data processing
• Experience with large language models (LLMs)
• A technical academic background
