Java Associate Engineer - Market Data Platform

Tasks

As a Java Associate Engineer on the Market Data Platform team, you will help industrialize a scalable data pipeline that processes terabytes of data from multiple sources. Our stack combines Java and Python, with foundations in Kafka, Apache Spark, MongoDB, and more.

Requirements

You should be a motivated Java software developer. Requirements:

• Strong academic credentials and a degree with a high level of mathematical and computer science content, e.g., computer science, mathematics, engineering, or physics.
• 3+ years of professional experience as a software developer with Java or Python as your primary language
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix platforms and strong understanding of Git
• Deep knowledge of one or more relational databases such as OracleDB, Postgres, or MongoDB
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and teaching skills
• Ability to work independently and gather stakeholder requirements

Unnecessary advantages

Advantageous, but not required, are:

• Familiarity with distributed systems and orchestration
• Experience with performance optimization and large data processing
• Previous experience
• Experience with large language models (LLMs)
• Mastering the public cloud
