**Java Backend Developer**
A Java Backend Developer (m/f/d) is sought to join a team at St. Julius Baer in Singapore to work on the development of software solutions for financial products and services. The position involves the development and maintenance of backend services and APIs using Java, Spring and Spring Boot.

Java Backend DeveloperTasks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop and implement high-quality software solutions for our financial products and services.
- Development and maintenance of backend services and APIs with Java, Spring and Spring Boot. Optimizing server-side performance and ensuring data integrity and security.
- Integration of different financial systems and third-party services to ensure smooth data flow and interoperability.
- Write clean, maintainable and efficient code in compliance with industry standards, including code reviews, testing and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Diagnosis and resolution of technical issues across the stack, support for development and production environments.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and deliverables.
- Demonstrate appropriate values and behaviors, including but not limited to standards of honesty and integrity, care and diligence, fair treatment (fair treatment of clients), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, appropriate risk management and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of the Unix operating system and bash scripting.
- Very good knowledge of the English language, both in writing and in communication.
- Good code review skills and pride in code quality.
- Team player.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for projects.
- Ability to work in an agile environment.
- Willingness to work in a global team with members in Singapore and Switzerland.
- Relevant work experience in the financial sector preferred.
