Java Backend Developer

Tasks

The tasks include:

• Design and development of high-quality software solutions for financial products and services in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Development and maintenance of backend services and APIs using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot, as well as optimizing server performance and ensuring data integrity and security
• Integration of various financial systems and third-party services to ensure a seamless flow of data and strong interoperability
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in accordance with industry best practices, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/development (CI/CD)
• Diagnosing and resolving technical issues across the entire stack, as well as providing support for development and production environments
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and deliverables.
• Demonstrating appropriate values and behaviors, including, but not limited to, standards of honesty and integrity, diligence and prudence, fair treatment (fair treatment of customers), conflict management, competence and continuous development, appropriate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Requirements

The requirements include:

• Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, JDBC templates, and JPA, messaging, and JMS
• Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Basic understanding of the Unix operating system and Bash scripting
• Excellent command of the English language, both in writing and in spoken communication
• Good code review skills and pride in code quality
• Team player
• Ability to work independently and take on projects
• Ability to work in an agile environment
• Willingness to work in a global team with members in Singapore and Switzerland
• Relevant professional experience in the financial industry is desirable.
