Java Developer
As a Java developer on ING's Shared Tech Team, you will develop and maintain scalable solutions in an agile, global corporate environment. The role requires in-depth knowledge of Java (version 17 or later), analytical skills, and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.

- You'll join our Shared Tech team, an engineering-led and innovation-focused group that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
- Working closely with product owners, architects, DevOps engineers, quality engineers, and fellow developers, you'll help deliver solutions that support ING's mission of empowering people to stay a step ahead in life and in business.
What You'll Do
- Develop, test, resolve, mentor, troubleshoot, and report issues, while contributing to high-quality, reliable, and scalable solutions in a global enterprise environment.
- Investigate production issues and implement long-term improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within an agile framework.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across engineering practices.
Required Skills
- Extensive hands-on experience in Java development
- Familiarity with Java 17 and later versions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure cloud services
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and application support
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and code quality tools
- Knowledge of application performance tuning and secure software delivery
