Java Solution Architect with Azure
Northern Trust is seeking an experienced Java Solution Architect to lead the modernization of microservice and Mulesoft applications in Microsoft Azure environments. The role involves designing enterprise-wide architectures using Java 21, Spring Boot, and cloud technologies for hybrid system landscapes.
Tasks
- Application Architecture and Infrastructure Planning:
- Management of the large-scale technology and modernization roadmap for integrating Mulesoft/MSB applications into Azure
- Leading the key platform transformation and hybrid system architecture, including cloud, microservices, and application infrastructure
- Management of modernization programs, including modernization, service extraction, API management, and service modernization
- Modernization of application systems to new, scalable, and dependent application delivery technologies for modernization workshops
- Java/Microservices Architecture:
- Designing enterprise-grade architectures using Java 21, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Cloud, and APIs/microservices
- Design and implementation of microservice architectures, domain boundaries, integration contracts, and service governance
- Architecture of Batch, Real-Time, and Event-Driven Processing Solutions
- Definition of Service Governance, Domain Orchestration, and Application Strategies to Accelerate Modernization
- Establishing best practices for application scalability, resilience, fault tolerance, and performance optimization
