As Java Team Lead - Execution you will be responsible for developing tools, platforms and algorithms for the global trading operation of a leading alternative asset manager. You will work in a team of software engineers to develop innovative solutions for the trading lifecycle.

Job Profile Summary
As Java Team Lead, you will develop the tools, platforms and algorithms that drive Man's investment engines to support consolidated global trading operations.Tasks
- Development of execution algorithms, platforms and systems for the integration of trading and risk management systems
- Development of software to optimize all aspects of the retail life cycle
- Analysis and performance measurement of trading and risk management systems
- Collaboration with dealers, quants and other technical stakeholders
Requirements
Required
- Expert knowledge of Java
- Database / SQL knowledge
- Very good communication skills and the ability to work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Passion for strong software engineering techniques and agile methodologies; continuous integration, code reviews; experience working at the highest level
- Experience in working on Linux and Windows platforms
Advantageous
- Excellent knowledge of financial markets and instruments
- Experience in working with quants and/or traders
- Experience in the development of office and/or trading systems (e.g. in a hedge fund or investment bank)
- Experience in the development of distributed systems with service-based or event-driven architectures and parallel processing
- Experience in web-based development (TypeScript)
- Strong technical knowledge (e.g. statistics, pricing, time series analysis, optimization algorithms)
- Strong knowledge of the markets (e.g. FIX, APIs, algorithmic trading)
Personal characteristics
- Strong academic background and a degree with high mathematical and computational content (e.g. computer science, mathematics or physics)
- Software/DevOps approach to software development; ability to inspire trust and embed these values in others
- Excellent problem solving skills
