Tasks

• Managing a team of developers, coaching and leading team members, and interacting with software vendors
• A passion for technology, building robust and scalable interfaces, and in-house development
• Practical experience in the analysis, design, coding, and implementation of complex and customized solutions
• Collaborating with the team to achieve goals, experience in a secure Agile environment
• Overseeing and reviewing the technical and architectural design, enforcing architectural guidelines, and challenging the status quo
• Stakeholder management—close collaboration with program stakeholders, business change engineers, and project managers to steer and manage IT delivery, single point of contact for product owners and business users

Regulatory responsibilities and risk management

• Taking responsibility for identifying and managing risks and issues to ensure that they are addressed in a timely manner and to the required standard
• Demonstrating appropriate values and behaviors, including, but not limited to, standards of honesty and integrity, diligence and conscientiousness, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), managing conflicts of interest, competence and behavioral development, appropriate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Your qualifications

Job Requirements

• At least 15 years of experience in the development of front-end applications, programming languages, and back-end systems
• Highly organized and able to prioritize and execute multiple tasks, able to influence and steer projects to achieve key milestones and overcome challenges
• At least 3 years of experience as a team leader
• Able to translate functional requirements into efficient and practical technical solutions
• Preferably experience in finance, banking, or asset management
• Able to explain highly technical issues to a non-technical audience
• Understanding business or system requirements and translating them into technical solutions that are scalable, stable, and fit for purpose

Technical requirements

• Strong knowledge of service-oriented architecture and RESTful services
• Strong knowledge of computer science (algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design)
• Practical experience with Kubernetes and containerization, streaming with Kafka, Avro schema, and Rest.JS
• Strong knowledge of SQL (MySQL, Oracle, Postgres, etc.)
• Practical experience with GITLAB repositories, Maven, Octopus, CI/CD pipeline
• Knowledge of cloud platforms would be an advantage.
• Basic Linux Shell Scripting Commands
• Familiarity with IntelliJ, SonarQube/SonarLint
