Role Description

• This position is for a Technical Lead for Data Collection within the AI/Labs/Data Lake platform.

• This position serves as the technical lead responsible for shaping the architecture, implementation, and ongoing development of our comprehensive platforms.

Responsibilities

• Leading the end-to-end design, development, and operation of our company-wide data ingestion workflows and acquisition methodologies
• Work closely with various business units to understand business needs and requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Develop and improve sophisticated data quality tools and frameworks to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of data throughout the acquisition pipeline
• Design and implementation of comprehensive data validation mechanisms, automated tests, monitoring, and alerting systems to proactively identify data quality issues
• Ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of data throughout the acquisition and transformation lifecycle by implementing robust data validation techniques
• Implementation of data quality tools and frameworks for automating testing, profiling, and monitoring
• Designing technical initiatives that ensure our data infrastructure remains at the forefront of industry best practices while maintaining the highest standards of performance, reliability, and security
• Close collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Establishing architectural standards to guide platform efforts
• Assessment of Emerging Technologies and Recommendations for Strategic Improvements
• Developing innovative approaches to data profiling, anomaly detection, and reporting on data quality metrics that provide stakeholders with comprehensive insights
• Design and implementation of frameworks for data acquisition and quality assurance processes

Required Skills, Experience, Qualifications, and Knowledge

• Experience: Experienced Java software engineer with extensive professional experience in building high-performance, scalable, and fault-tolerant distributed systems, with a focus on real-time data processing and data lake technologies. Proven ability to lead a technical team and drive the implementation of critical data acquisition solutions. Strong experience with distributed computing architectures is a plus (e.g., distributed message queues, distributed processing frameworks).
• Experience: Technical Manager with hands-on technical skills and the ability to execute tasks, including working with production code.
