Junior Private Banker

The Junior Private Banker supports the expansion of the private banking business by generating leads and managing relationships with existing and prospective clients. The role requires excellent sales and relationship management skills, as well as comprehensive knowledge of private banking investments, products, and services.

Job Details

The position of Junior Private Banker involves the following duties and responsibilities:
  • Support the expansion of the private banking business by generating and following up on leads from existing and potential clients, as well as assessing and meeting their overall banking, investment, and wealth management needs.
  • Identifying and providing suitable banking products and services that demonstrate simplicity, guidance, knowledge, and experience, following a comprehensive needs analysis and assessment.
  • Collaborate with the investment and advisory team, product experts, and other business units to maximize the customer experience, foster trust and collaboration, identify synergies and referral opportunities, and maximize the breadth of the product and service offerings for existing and potential customers.
  • Exceeding customer expectations through consistently exceptional customer service that is professional, positive, thorough, and timely.
  • Demonstrating a proactive approach by providing customers with thoughtful and relevant information and insights.
  • Develop and maintain a disciplined approach to sound account management by conducting regular, rigorous account audits.
  • Maintaining the necessary documentation for the book (W8, KYC updates, etc.).
  • Efficient management of customer communications, including business travel plans.
  • Identifying sources for brochures, defining a methodology to maximize customer acquisition.
  • Compliance with BSA/AML laws, regulations, and guidelines, as well as the bank’s BSA/AML policies and procedures.
  • Compliance with the principles, laws, regulations, and guidelines related to money laundering and bank secrecy, as well as the relevant policies and procedures.

Qualifications

The following qualifications are required:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
  • FINRA Series 7 certification required.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of private banking investments, products, and services.
  • Excellent sales and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influence management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with multiple teams.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
