Junior Advisory Process & Risk Specialist – Global Products & Solutions (GPS) 100% (f/m/d)
The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Junior Advisory Process & Risk Specialist to serve as an expert in process and risk management within the Global Products & Solutions (GPS) department. The successful candidate will assist in the development and implementation of risk management processes and strategies to ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines.
Your challenge
As a subject matter expert with expertise in "Change the Bank" projects and initiatives, you will ensure that process changes are compliant and in line with applicable regulations and guidelines. You will support Senior Advisory Process & Risk Specialists as well as the global Risk Type Owner for Client Suitability in developing, maintaining, and evaluating the advisory process risk framework to ensure its effectiveness and alignment with regulations and bank-wide guidelines. You will collaborate with stakeholders worldwide to identify and mitigate operational risks. You will use your expertise to support client-facing colleagues in addressing daily challenges related to advisory work and help them operate in compliance with guidelines and regulations. You will conduct ad-hoc risk assessments and analyses to ensure the monitoring of process-related risks. You will create and revise internal guidelines and wiki pages, and provide training as needed.Your profile
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent higher education, preferably in banking and finance, business administration, or law. Professional experience in the banking industry, preferably with a focus on risk, regulatory issues, compliance, financial markets, or advisory services, is advantageous. Good understanding of front-to-back processes in private banking/wealth management, particularly in the advisory business, which includes a solid understanding of financial products, trading, sales, and execution. Good understanding of and strong interest in risk-related topics with a focus on client suitability (which includes fundamental regulatory knowledge such as FinSA, MiFID II, PRIIPs, etc.). Ability to conduct and present in-depth data analyses, gap assessments, and solution options. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and German.We offer
