Junior Compliance Officer - Investment Management Advisory
Man Group is looking for a Junior Compliance Officer to become part of the Investment Management Advisory team and assist in various tasks and business areas of the company. The new employee will work closely with the Head of Compliance and contribute to the implementation of compliance initiatives.
Job description: Junior Compliance Officer - Investment Management Advisory
Tasks
- Liaise with the Man Data Science team to review alternative data provider SODs
- Supporting Investment Services in the preparation of responses to investor SODs and RFPs
- Assistance and escalation to senior compliance officers to ensure timely compliance monitoring
- Assistance in the implementation of ManGroup Inc. and related legal and controlling processes
- Support with activities to monitor and review investment processes, e.g. risk assessments, new product processes and control registers
- Assist the Investment Management Compliance team with compliance related initiatives with the goal of designing and implementing the compliance framework and strengthening the compliance framework and programs
- Participate in various meetings and liaise with infrastructure and investment management teams across the business to promote the role and activities of the team
- Assistance in the creation, dissemination and implementation of compliance trainings
- Assisting the Regulatory (Surveillance) and Compliance Advisory Team with ad hoc reviews of the Form ADV
- Opportunity to support the wider compliance team in monitoring e-communications and MAR trading surveillance
Requirements
- A recent graduate with a strong academic record, educated to degree level or equivalent
- Practical experience in the financial markets or compliance area
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Knowledge of Python/SQL databases
- 0-10 years of experience in a compliance, legal, consulting or similar field
