Junior Compliance Officer - Operational Compliance
The Junior Compliance Officer - Operational Compliance supports the Operational Compliance team in the monitoring and implementation of regulatory requirements and internal policies, particularly in the area of Regulatory, Investment and Client Operations. The focus of the role is on ensuring compliance with rules, regulations and internal procedures.
Job description: Junior Compliance Officer - Operational Compliance
Tasks
- Responsible for finalizing regulatory disclosure reports (short, substantive and underwriting) and Section 793 Company Act requests
- Staying up to date on relevant regulatory and legal requirements in relation to all relevant disclosure requirements
- Perform gap analysis to identify areas for improvement in the disclosure system and reports and work with technology to implement solutions
- Assist in reviewing procedural documentation and global policies at least annually, identifying areas for improvement and proposing updates/changes
- Compliance support for other regional offices, including the US and Asia team
- Assisting in the delivery of the compliance monitoring program for members of the Operational Compliance team, including regulatory reporting (DFRMR and MFER), MiFIR trade reporting and CASS
- Preparation of compliance submissions for Man Group governance
- Opportunities to participate in a wider range of team activities as the role develops
Requirements
- Degree at diploma level or equivalent
- Experience in a compliance, reporting or regulatory operations role is desirable
- Previous experience in a regulated environment required
- A focused, proactive team player who is able to drive their own development
- Self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with technical or detailed processes is an advantage, but not essential
