Junior Java Developer

Job description

We are looking for a motivated Junior Java Developer to join our dynamic team at a leading financial institution. The developer will be part of the global C&I Software Solutions team within GPS Technology, based in Singapore.

Tasks

• Gathering new requirements, designing innovative solutions and implementation
• Supporting the team in achieving the ambitions defined by the head of the C&I Software Solutions team
• Active participation and support in the regular review and improvement of team processes to optimize efficiency and productivity
• Continuous development and improvement of systems

Key tasks and responsibilities

Business Management

• Work on fulfilling the team's ambitions, as defined by the head of the C&I Software Solutions team
• Active participation and support in the regular review and improvement of team processes to optimize efficiency and productivity
• Continuous development and improvement of systems

Stakeholder management

• Effective and progressive management of all stakeholders and users of applications supported by the team
• Obtaining and discussing requirements and solutions with business owners and stakeholders
• Regular updates for key stakeholders via the various channels used by the team

Change management

• Active participation and support in the Program Increment (PI) planning process within the markets
• Support with change management and release output planning
• Dedicated post-implementation support locally in Asia

Regulatory responsibilities and risk management

• Demonstration of appropriate values and conduct (including, but not limited to, standards of honesty and integrity, diligence and conscientiousness, fair treatment (fair treatment of customers), management of conflicts of interest, continuous professional development, appropriate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations)

Technical tasks

• Optimizing server-side performance and ensuring data integrity and security
• Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code in compliance with industry standards, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)
• Troubleshooting and support
• Diagnosis and solution of problems in the first line, support for development and production environments
