Junior Operations Officer

The position of Junior Operations Officer at TradeXBank AG in Zurich mainly involves client-related data tasks as well as trade processing and reconciliation. The role combines middle office and data management tasks.

Job description

Tasks

  • Data Management:
    • Enter and validate data: Ensure accurate entry and validation of client data in the core banking system in accordance with compliance, legal and front office guidelines.
    • Archiving: Management of physical and electronic archiving of customer documents, ensuring data completeness and consistency.
    • Quality assurance: Performing checks to ensure data accuracy, integrity and compliance with standards.
    • Testing, process improvements, supporting the team leader with priority projects
  • Middle Office:
    • Reconciliation: Perform daily trade and position reconciliation
    • Collateral management: support for collateral management, including the processing of margin calls
    • Life cycle management: Monitoring and processing of life cycle events, including corporate actions.
    • Regulatory compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant trade regulations, reporting obligations and industry standards.
    • Trading support: Support the trading and treasury desk with daily operational requests, including trade capture, validation and reconciliation in the relevant systems.

Requirements

  • Candidates with 3+ years of experience in a similar role at a financial institution
  • Familiarity with KYC/CBI/AML requirements and regulatory reporting obligations (e.g. FINFRAG, CRS)
  • Good knowledge of FX and derivatives as well as global markets instruments
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg TOMS and core banking systems (e.g. Avaloq) is an advantage
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Organized, able to prioritize under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Possession of a valid Swiss/EU passport or an applicable Swiss work permit (mandatory)
