(Junior) Operations Specialist FXMM / PM & Treasury (f/m/d) - 100% (f/m/d) - (Contract through our external payroll partner, starting immediately and running through December 31, 2027, with a possible extension)
Julius Baer is seeking a (Junior) Operations Specialist in Zurich for the FX, Money Market, Precious Metals, and Treasury divisions, who will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and compliant execution of daily operations. The position is advertised as a full-time (100%) contract through an external staffing partner through the end of 2027.
Tasks
- Daily and timely reporting of cash balances to Asset Liability Management (ALM) and Position Control
- Identification and Resolution of Discrepancies in the Settlement of Line Items Across Multiple Asset Classes
- Performing control tasks in accordance with the dual-control principle, in compliance with defined processes and standards
- Strict adherence to internal guidelines, policies, and compliance requirements
- Conducting regular checks and promptly reporting incidents or system-related issues
- A strong awareness of operational risk
- Reliable support by responding to ad hoc inquiries and providing timely, accurate feedback
- Initiating and proposing ideas for improvement to increase efficiency, quality, and risk mitigation
Requirements
- Successfully completed banking apprenticeship or comparable vocational training
- Consideration of candidates from other fields with proven experience in banking or the financial sector
- Previous experience in banking or the financial services industry is highly desirable
