Junior Quant Portfolio Manager

As a Junior Quant Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring systematic equity portfolios and assisting in the development of investment strategies. The position offers an opportunity to work in a team of artificial intelligence and quantitative equity investment experts and develop innovative solutions for complex financial markets.

Job description: Junior Quant Portfolio Manager

Tasks

  • Manage and monitor systematic equity portfolios, including trade execution, corporate actions, portfolio reconciliations, risk monitoring and ensuring compliance with investment objectives.
  • Manage trading lifecycle processes to ensure seamless execution of investment decisions.
  • Create detailed reports and presentations on portfolio performance, attribution and portfolio analytics for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop content for investment strategies and present and promote them to external organizations and clients.
  • Coordinate with operational units, compliance and custodians to resolve issues and ensure data accuracy.
  • Working with different teams within our company, especially sales and sales support, to provide the best possible service to each customer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, physics, mathematics or a related quantitative discipline. Advanced degrees (e.g. MBA, Master in Finance) or certifications (e.g. CFA, FRM) are an advantage.
  • 2-5+ years of experience in portfolio management, equity or credit research or a related investment function.
  • Strong understanding of equity markets and risk management principles.
  • Experience with quantitative investment strategies or machine learning is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling, portfolio analytics and investment tools (e.g. Bloomberg, FactSet or similar platforms).
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex investment ideas.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Familiarity with programming languages (Python, Matlab, SQL etc.) is an advantage.
