Junior Relationship Manager

The Junior Relationship Manager will be responsible for the acquisition and servicing of High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs) and Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWIs) in the Guernsey market and will be expected to build new business relationships and maintain existing relationships. The role requires excellent communication skills, professional training and experience in business development and sales.

Tasks

  • Proactively build and develop new relationships with High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs) and Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWIs) from the Guernsey market
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive growth and increase sales
  • Build and maintain a strong network of relationships with potential and existing clients and other stakeholders to generate referrals and introductions
  • Develop and implement a strategic business plan to achieve individual and team goals, including setting objectives, tracking progress and adjusting strategies as needed
  • Create and present targeted presentations and pitches to potential clients to highlight the Bank's unique value proposition and services
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Investment Management, Advisory Solutions and Product Specialists to develop and promote innovative solutions and services that meet the evolving needs of HNWIs and UHNWIs
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends, competitor activity and market developments to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation
  • Presenting the bank's products and services to potential clients, offering customized investment solutions and cross-selling relevant offers
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new marketing strategies, initiatives and events to support business growth and brand awareness
  • Mentor and support junior team members to develop their business development skills and contribute to the growth and goals of the team
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards and maintain the highest level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions with clients and stakeholders

Professional and technical skills

  • Obtained or studying for: Investment Advice Diploma, Level 4 or equivalent within an agreed period of time
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Relevant higher education and professional background, e.g. FH, HWV, university or banking apprenticeship combined with a corresponding professional qualification
  • Experience in business development and sales
  • Proven track record of winning new relationships
  • Solid affinity to the geographical market (market):
    • Language skills and cultural awareness
    • Familiarity with the legal and regulatory environment
  • Solid knowledge of global financial markets and current events
  • Ability to combine customer needs with suitable product solutions
  • Sound business judgment that always represents the interests of the bank and its shareholders
  • Willingness and flexibility to extend networking efforts outside of typical office hours
