Junior Security Officer
Taurus is seeking a Junior Security Officer to support the security team in implementing security controls, processes, and initiatives, and to play a key role in ensuring information security and operational risk management. The Junior Security Officer will work in a hybrid work model in Switzerland (Geneva, Lausanne, Sion, or Zurich).
Tasks
As a Junior Security Officer, you will report to the Head of Security Compliance and play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our security program. Your responsibilities will include:- Definition, implementation, and maintenance of internal security controls, processes, and monitoring activities
- Coordination of internal projects, roadmaps, and security initiatives, including audits, penetration tests, and resilience exercises
- Act as a point of contact for customers and partners on security matters, including responding to due diligence inquiries and RFPs
- Ensuring that all safety documentation, policies, and procedures are up to date and properly maintained
- Collaborate with other internal teams (Engineering, Operations, Legal) to gather input and ensure alignment with the security program
- Overseeing the vendor risk management program, including assessments, onboarding, and monitoring of critical third-party vendors
- Participation in the incident response process to ensure readiness, documentation, and follow-up
- Tracking and reporting security metrics and improvement plans to senior management
- Promoting a culture of safety throughout the company by providing guidance, awareness-raising, and training
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with:- Bachelor's or master's degree in information security, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3-6 years of experience in information security or in financial services, fintech, or regulated environments
- A solid understanding of security fundamentals and related technologies
- Experience in vendor risk management, audit coordination, or security assessments is a strong plus
- Excellent organizational and project management skills to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain technical topics to various stakeholders
- Integrity, autonomy, and proactive thinking
- Fluent English; French or German is a strong plus
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Implementer/Auditor, or similar are an asset but not mandatory.
