Junior Software Engineer, Custody Value Stream (80-100%)

About the role

The Custody Value Stream is a cross-functional team dedicated to the safe custody of digital assets, our front office. As part of a regulated digital asset bank, we are entrusted with the safekeeping of client assets and put security, compliance and operational integrity at the forefront of everything we do. We operate in an agile, product-driven environment, bringing together specialists from product management, engineering and architecture to develop and operate scalable, end-to-end custody solutions. Our platform is continuously evolving to maintain the highest standards of security, scalability and resilience, ensuring client assets remain protected in an increasingly complex digital landscape. We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our agile scrum team within the custody value stream, where you will help develop secure, scalable and innovative solutions that support our digital asset custody services.

Your main tasks

• Actively participate in the development of new features and enhancements by writing and reviewing high-quality, secure code with comprehensive test coverage
• Continuous improvement of the quality and security of all applications, identification of existing technical debt and planning of measures to repay it
• Responding quickly and efficiently to production incidents, working with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and restore service continuity
• Collaboration with platform engineers to improve CI/CD pipelines and streamline release processes
• Collaboration with SRE engineers and solution architects to optimize application availability, resilience and observability

What makes you stand out

• Expertise in Java and/or TypeScript or similar OOP language
• Experience with an industry framework such as Spring or Quarkus
• Good knowledge of software security
• Good knowledge of algorithms and data structures
• Knowledge of design patterns and software architecture
• Expertise in dealing with RDBMS
• Understanding of microservices, event-driven architecture and ability to implement complex functions with high quality and security
• Experience in dealing with Kafka is an advantage
• Working knowledge of Docker and containerization
• Experience in dealing with Kubernetes is an advantage
• Experience in dealing with AWS is an advantage
