Kubernetes Platform Engineer

Tasks

* Ensuring high availability, performance, scalability, and security of Kubernetes clusters and associated services * Working closely with development teams to support and guide their adoption of cloud-native technologies and CI/CD integration * Automating operational workflows, including deployment, patching, monitoring, logging, and incident response * Serving as the team’s Scrum Master and working closely with the Product Owner to manage and refine the backlog to ensure alignment with business priorities and technical dependencies

Requirements

* Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field * Experience as a Kubernetes engineer or platform operator in enterprise-wide environments * Strong understanding of agile development methodologies and Scrum/SAFe frameworks; prior experience as a Scrum Master is a plus * Strong technical expertise in Kubernetes, including a deep understanding of control plane components, networking (CNI), storage (CSI), service mesh concepts, and operators * Experience managing Kubernetes with open-source distributions or managed offerings such as AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) or VMware Tanzu; experience with one of these offerings is a strong plus * Solid scripting and automation skills with languages such as Bash, Python, and Go, as well as knowledge of configuration formats like YAML/JSON, and familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Ansible, Helm, Crossplane) * Experience developing Kubernetes operators/Crossplane providers in Go is a plus * Holders of the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification are strongly preferred; Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS) is considered a significant advantage
