Kubernetes Platform Engineer

Tasks

• Ensuring high availability, performance, scalability, and security of Kubernetes clusters and related services
• Work closely with development teams to support and guide their adoption of cloud-native technologies and CI/CD integration
• Automation of operational processes, including provisioning, patching, monitoring, logging, and incident response
• Assume the role of Scrum Master for the team and work closely with the Product Owner to manage and refine the backlog, ensuring it aligns with business priorities and technical dependencies.

Your profile

• Education in computer science, information technology, or a related field
• Practical experience as a Kubernetes engineer or platform operator in enterprise environments
• Good understanding of agile development methods and Scrum/SAFE frameworks; previous experience as a Scrum Master is an advantage
• Strong technical knowledge of Kubernetes, including deep understanding of control plane components, networking (CNI), storage (CSI), service mesh concepts, and operators
• Proven experience in managing Kubernetes with open-source distributions or managed offerings such as AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) or VMWare Tanzu; experience with one of these offerings is a strong advantage
• Strong scripting and automation skills with languages such as Bash, Python, and Go, as well as knowledge of configuration formats such as YAML/JSON, familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Ansible, Helm, Crossplane)
• Experience in developing Kubernetes operators/crossplane providers in Golang is an advantage.
• Holders of Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification are strongly preferred; Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS) certification is considered a significant advantage.
