KYC Officer (Career Returner Program)

The KYC Officer (Career Returner Program) at Man Group in London is responsible for conducting customer checks, risk assessments, and ongoing monitoring of business relationships. The position holder will be supported as part of a six-month program and will have the opportunity to obtain a permanent position within the company upon completion of the program.

About the job

The KYC Officer position is part of the Career Returner Program. During the six-month program, you will work on professional tasks based on your skills and interests and be supported by a tailored learning and development program. At the end of the program, there is the opportunity to take on a permanent role within the organization.

Tasks

The tasks include:
  • Performing daily KYC operations and responding to business inquiries
  • Support with ongoing KYC checks; conducting risk assessments for business relationships in accordance with Man Group's risk profile and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to review requests and obtain KYC documentation
  • Provision of proactive challenges for KYC requests and procedures
  • Handling KYC requests for Man Group funds and companies
  • Preparation and coordination of KYC packages
  • Supporting teams for regulatory compliance and managing ad hoc project requirements
  • Maintaining accurate records in KYC systems and ensuring data quality
  • Identification and implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency and control effectiveness

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who:
  • A career break of at least 24 months (from April 2024) had
  • Have relevant experience in KYC/AML
Desirable are:
  • Experience in KYC/AML, preferably with asset management or financial services
  • Experience with complex fund structures
  • Understanding of general AML/KYC regulations and best practices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate risk concerns to senior stakeholders
  • Proactive ability to read documents and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivation with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • Experience with KYC platforms
