KYC Onboarding Compliance Officer

The position as KYC Onboarding Compliance Officer supports the BJB5 branch and Julius Baer Trust Company (JBTC) in complying with external and internal regulations in the areas of Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML).

Tasks

The main tasks include:

• Supporting the CRO and senior management of the BJB5 branch and JBTC in compliance and the management of operational, regulatory, and reputational risks
• Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as the BJB5 front office, Client Document Services (CDS), Periodic Review, AM, Controls, and Risk Management teams
• Review and approval of new customer relationships and accounts for natural persons and legal entities, financial intermediaries, trustees, fund managers, and external asset managers
• Verification and assessment of information on the origin of assets and correspondence with legal and regulatory authorities
• Support in resolving pre- and post-run issues related to KYC/CDD and assisting customers in complying with regulatory requirements

Requirements

The requirements for applicants are:

• At least 2 years of experience in an AML/KYC onboarding and AML role in the private banking or wealth management industry
• A good degree and understanding of the private banking and asset management industry
• Strong knowledge of MAS 626 memo and guidelines
• A good understanding of the private banking and asset management industry
• Experience in managing regulatory inspections, internal and external audits in the area of AML/CFT
• PC skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
