KYC Uplift / Advisory Specialist
Julius Baer is seeking a KYC Uplift/Advisory Specialist in Singapore to support Private Banking Operations and Compliance. The role involves reviewing and updating KYC profiles, conducting due diligence reviews, and advising relationship managers on compliance with regulatory requirements.

- We are seeking a KYC Uplift/Advisory Specialist to support and enhance Private Banking Operations and collaborate with the People Solutions department in the following key roles, areas, and scope of work.
Key Features of the Position
- Provide guidance and improve existing KYC profiles to meet regulatory and internal policy requirements.
- Work collaboratively with the RM to prepare comprehensive KYC files and narratives for the Private Banker.
- Review the updated DDW documentation and KYC questionnaires provided by the Front Office.
- Process the DDW and Source of Funds/SDW questionnaire. Gather any outstanding information, resolution requirements, and responses.
- Conduct a comprehensive due diligence assessment, analysis, or benchmarking, including a review of the client's transactional behavior, nature, and volume, as well as their source of income profile.
- Provide guidance to Relationship Managers (RMs) via email or in person, requesting that they further update their clients’ KYC profiles—whether regarding transactions or sources of documentation—to address any new risks or knowledge gaps. Ensure that any changes and updates are communicated to the compliance department in accordance with local regulations.
- Identify and escalate newly identified risks related to unusual transaction patterns during the review process.
- Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of new cases and escalations.
- Ensure that assigned tasks are completed on time and to a high standard, in accordance with defined deadlines.
- Support periodic reporting and status updates for internal governance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new, updated, or ongoing onboarding processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring gaps and suggesting improvements across processes.
- Ensure that KYCDD measures are implemented, that intelligence measures are in place to assess risk, and verify that suspicious activity notifications (SANs) are escalated to Compliance where
Skill Requirements
- A strong sense of responsibility and initiative is essential.
- A strong personality and good organizational skills.
- Prior experience in conducting KYC enhancements or in front-office advisory specialist roles at a private bank is preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of KYC due diligence, DDW/SDDF questionnaires, and financial crime prevention techniques.
- Experience interpreting financial documents (e.g., financial statements, property deeds).
- A solid understanding of the private market landscape and corporate structures.
