The KYC Uplift Specialist is responsible for reviewing and enhancing existing KYC profiles to align them with tightened regulatory and internal policy requirements. The position also includes analyzing client information, identifying risks and advising front office and management teams.

KYC Uplift Specialist

Tasks

  • Conduct reviews and improvements to existing KYC profiles to meet increased regulatory and internal policy requirements
  • Verification and confirmation of the source of wealth using appropriate documents, contextual analysis and market insights
  • Identification and assessment of the risk of opaque legal structures
  • Review client transactions for the period under periodic review; ensure that transaction activity is consistent with the client's risk profile and report anomalies in suspicious transactions with unknown third parties
  • Treatment of sanction hit matches as well as hit matches for other AML/CFT risks identified during name and media screening
  • Identification and escalation of newly identified risk indicators or unusual transaction patterns during the review
  • Maintenance of clear and comprehensive documentation of review rationale and decisions
  • Ensuring prompt and high-quality completion of assigned cases within a defined time frame
  • Support with periodic reports and status updates for internal governance
  • Advising the front office on KYC/CDD-related matters
  • Advising management and local risk committees on the AML/CFT risk of a client relationship
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring gaps and suggesting improvements to procedures

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders such as front office and compliance teams
  • Cooperation with foreign offices (particularly in Hong Kong, Dubai and Thailand) to contribute to KYC reviews
  • Demonstrate appropriate values and behaviors, including but not limited to standards of honesty and integrity, care and diligence, fair treatment (fair treatment of clients), management of conflicts of interest, compensation and continuous development

Requirements

  • A strong sense of responsibility and impeccable integrity
  • Strong personality with good organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage internal and external stakeholders
  • Setting the right priorities and ability to work on several tasks at the same time
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English, other languages are an advantage
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the private banking industry and/or trust companies
  • Experience in due diligence practices, particularly in confirming the source of wealth
