Lead API DevOps Engineer & Deployment Coordinator
As a Lead API DevOps Engineer & Deployment Coordinator at Tiber Tech, you will oversee and coordinate the deployment of AWS-based applications and APIs in a hybrid work environment. The role requires in-depth knowledge of cloud architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices, as well as strong communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Tasks
- Monitoring deployment health across multiple pipelines (CI/CD) and resolving any issues that arise while strictly adhering to best practices.
- Managing the ongoing updating of project documentation and creating new process flows.
- Successful implementation and deployment of AWS-based applications.
- Successful deployment, testing, and monitoring of APIs and services.
- Troubleshooting and prompt reporting of results to ensure the health and reliability of the applications provided.
- Ensuring compliance with SLAs and monitoring key performance indicators.
- Troubleshooting and reporting the results to senior engineering leadership.
- Commitment and communication with others from different teams.
- Leading cross-functional meetings and reviewing meeting notes and action items.
- Establish and document KPI tracking for the unit.
- Implementation of network security measures.
- General support for staff when problems arise.
- Supporting other developers throughout the build and deployment process, especially on larger projects.
- Daily testing and bug fixes.
- Maintaining well-documented records, monitoring progress, and analyzing performance.
- Knowledge of the core components of the respective business unit.
- Monitor the deployment of APIs on cloud services in collaboration with the project manager.
- Manage resources and reduce security threats by maintaining appropriate access levels, automating deployment processes, and adjusting configuration settings.
Requirements
- Proven experience with cloud infrastructure.
- Proven skills in DevOps engineering with cloud platforms.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon EC2/EBS, Azure Cloud, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Skills in C#, Java, JavaScript, and Python.
- Effective oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, including problem-solving.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management.
- At least 3 years of experience in AWS cloud architecture.
- Basic understanding of Site Reliability Engineering methodologies.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Packer, and Helm.
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Experience in managing complex, highly available distributed systems.
- Knowledge of programming languages, including Python, Java, JavaScript, and Bash scripts.
- CI/CD experience with Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitLab, or similar version control systems.
- Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or similar frameworks.
- Knowledge of AWS-specific technologies such as S3, EC2, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, ECS, API Gateway, CloudFormation, IAM, VPC, Route53, SQS, and Redshift.
- Knowledge of AWS-related technologies, including Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Kubernetes, Helm, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, ECR, and EFS.
- Knowledge of AWS cloud architecture principles, including availability, scalability, high availability, redundancy, disaster recovery, and security.
- Knowledge of the principles of application lifecycle management, including CI/CD, TDD, security audits, vulnerability and patch management, monitoring, and alerting.
- Knowledge of cloud-native architectures, including microservices, serverless computing, and event-driven architectures.
