Lead Auditor - Bank Auditor

Bank J. Safra Sarasin is seeking a Lead Auditor who will conduct independent audits in various areas, such as Operations, Risk, and Banking Products, and serve as a sounding board for management. The ideal candidate has 5 years of experience as a lead auditor, a degree in business administration, and excellent analytical and communication skills.

Your role

As a Lead Auditor—Banking Auditor at the bank—you will apply your experience in areas such as Operations, Risk, Banking Products, Portfolio Management, Credit, Payments, Treasury, or Trading to conduct independent audits. Your responsibilities will primarily include independently planning and conducting audits, including reporting.

Your tasks

  • Assuming the role of lead auditor, including planning to meet objectives and deadlines, conducting audits independently, and communicating the results of end-to-end audits in a goal-oriented manner
  • Writing Informative Reports
  • Acting as a sparring partner for management
  • Monitoring the Implementation of Measures
  • Drafting statements for the Head of Group Internal Audit, the Board of Directors, or line managers or decision-makers
  • Participation in specialized assessments and projects
  • Acting as a Subject Matter Expert

Your profile

  • Banking apprenticeship, banking specialist certification, or advanced business education (university, university of applied sciences), CIA, CPA, or equivalent
  • A degree in public accounting is an asset
  • 5 years of experience as a lead auditor for the banking group (internal and external audit) in areas such as Operations, Risk, Banking Products, Portfolio Management, Credit, Payments, Treasury, or Trading
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with Avaloq is a plus
  • Ability to assess the importance of issues and set priorities, as well as strong analytical skills
  • A hands-on approach, a strong work ethic, integrity, and a high sense of responsibility
  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work independently
  • Willingness to travel abroad (approximately 30 days per year)
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to write clear and concise texts in English; knowledge of German, French, or Spanish is a plus
