Lead Auditor - Group Internal Audit

Your role

As a Lead Auditor at Bank J. Safra Sarasin, you will use your experience in areas such as operations, payments, credit, portfolio management, risk, treasury, and trading to conduct independent audits. Your core responsibilities will include planning and executing audits independently, as well as preparing and delivering audit reports.

Your tasks

  • Assuming the role of lead auditor, including goal- and deadline-oriented planning, independent execution, and timely communication of results from end-to-end audits
  • Writing clear and effective reports
  • Act as a sparring partner for management
  • Monitoring the implementation of measures
  • Preparation of statements for the Head of Group Internal Audit, the Board of Directors, or other decision-makers
  • Participation in special studies and projects
  • Act as a subject matter expert

Your profile

  • Banking apprenticeship, certified banking specialist or higher business administration degree (university or university of applied sciences), CIA, CFA or equivalent. A qualification as a Certified Public Accountant is an advantage.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a lead auditor in banking auditing (internal or external auditing) in areas such as operations, payments, credit, portfolio management, risk, treasury, or trading
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills; experience with Avaloq is an advantage
  • Ability to weigh problems, set priorities, and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work with different interest groups
  • Practical mindset, strong work ethic, integrity, and a high sense of responsibility
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to work independently
  • Willingness to travel abroad (approx. 30 days per year)
  • Fluent English language skills with the ability to write clear, effective texts in English; knowledge of German, French, or Spanish is an advantage
