Lead Front-End Engineer (Full-Time) - Singapore (fm/d)

Tasks

• Definition of the technical architecture and development of the company-wide design system
• Design, development, and maintenance of reusable components (tokens, patterns, modules, and frameworks)
• Promoting performance, accessibility, and consistency across channels in flagship products
• Establishing Best Practices
• Enabling rapid adoption through automated pipelines, component libraries, and developer tools
• Improving the efficiency of the design system, resource and metric tracking, and iterative development
• Coordinating cross-platform collaboration with UX/UI, backend, and mobile teams
• Monitoring accessibility through ongoing compliance with the company's internal WCAG standards and accessibility best practices
• Facilitating technical discussions, architecture reviews, and engineering decisions in front-end initiatives
• Mentoring coaches and fostering engineering excellence through technical leadership and knowledge sharing
• Supporting young engineers through structured feedback, planning, and performance-based development
• Direct interface with product managers, design teams, business stakeholders, and leadership teams
• Work within an agile team structure with distributed operations and scalable engineering management

• Evidence of appropriate education and professional experience, including but not limited to qualifications in science and technology (e.g., science and technology), that ensure professional integrity and competence in the performance of services for clients
• Authorization to act as a responsible person; the company is also responsible for complying with laws and regulations
• Fundamental responsibility for ensuring that work is carried out and managed in a clear and methodical manner, as well as for providing all necessary explanations regarding the job and demonstrating the required respect for the process

Requirements

• More than 3 years of engineering experience with a strong understanding of front-end web development
• Professional:
  • Proven experience in delivering large-scale, enterprise-wide front-end applications
  • Proven Leadership in Engineering: System Architecture, Code Quality, and Deployment Strategies
  • Experience working in agile/DevOps development environments
• Technical:
  • Expertise in: HTML5, CSS3, SASS/LESS, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript
  • Frameworks: React (Next.js, Redux, State) or equivalent
  • Styling system: Tailwind, in-house design systems, or equivalent
  • Testing: Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Storybook
  • Strong knowledge of design systems, themes, and styling (CSS Grid, Flexbox)
  • Features: Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse, Lazy Loading, SSR/SSG, Caching Strategies
  • Build & Tooling: Webpack, Vite, esbuild, Node.js, npm/pnpm, Docker
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and cloud/on-premises deployment
  • Experience with cross-team and cross-disciplinary tools or processes
  • Experience with web accessibility (WCAG 2.1+), semantic HTML, and a11y testing
