LEAD IT ARCHITECT

About the role

• As our Lead IT Architect, you'll shape the technology landscape that supports our business and its future growth. Working closely with business stakeholders, software engineering teams, and infrastructure specialists, you'll translate business needs into secure, scalable, and practical technology solutions.
• In this role, you'll define our technology architecture, guide key technical decisions, and ensure that developers and engineers drive the evolution of our application landscape. You'll collaborate across teams to ensure our technology is fit for purpose, promote best practices in architecture, and support engineers in a creative environment where knowledge is shared, innovation is encouraged, and continuous improvement is an integral part of how we work.

What You'll Do

• Define and maintain the target architecture for business applications and technology infrastructures, balancing platform requirements in line with the company's strategic objectives.
• Drive the evolution of the enterprise application landscape and contribute to the long-term technology roadmap.
• Establish and promote architectural principles, standards, and best practices.
• Evaluate and assess new solutions, architectures, patterns, and opportunities.
• Ensure that architectural solutions align with security, scalability, performance, and compliance requirements.
• Support software engineering teams and decision-making in software architecture by guiding architectural decisions and facilitating the decision-making process.
• Coach technical leads to ensure consistent use of best practices.
• Mentor software engineers and technical leads, encouraging knowledge sharing and sustainable software development.
• Ensure that technology solutions comply with relevant regulations and industry best practices.

What You'll Need

• Master's degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience leading software engineering initiatives and mentoring technical leads, with the ability to foster collaboration and drive high performance.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to balance strategic thinking and pragmatic solution design.
• A strong understanding of software architecture, system integration, cloud technologies, APIs, distributed systems, and modern software development practices.
• Knowledge of financial markets, trading operations, and related regulatory requirements is an advantage.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills to enable collaboration across technical and business teams.
• A high degree of flexibility, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
