Lead Mainframe Support (COBOL)
The job posting is seeking a lead developer for mainframe systems with experience in COBOL and DB2 who has the ability to support and expand existing systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience working with COBOL and DB2 and be willing to extend their skills to new technologies.
Tasks
We are looking for a Lead Mainframe Support (COBOL) to support and further develop our mainframe systems. The main tasks include:- Work on mainframe development and maintenance
- Support in implementing regulatory and industry-specific requirements
- Collaborating with other teams to develop and implement solutions
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with:- 10+ years of experience with COBOL and DB2
- Knowledge of MVS JCL and utilities
- Understanding CICS and web service calls from the mainframe
- Knowledge of unit testing and test automation is an advantage.
- Banking knowledge is an advantage
Technologies
Our tech stack includes:- Z/OS stack: COBOL, DB2, PL1, IMS, CICS, z/OS Connect, IBM IDz, Github (mandatory)
- Junit, Oracle, DataStage, Proximal Cloud Foundry, Salesforce, APEX (advantageous)
Nice to Have
It would be great if you had experience with:- Vended applications on Windows, Linux, or mainframe servers have
- Are familiar with APIs and their practical application
- Familiar with continuous integration and collaboration tools such as Azure ADQ and/or Confluence
