The Lead Market Data Category & Sourcing Lead is responsible for the development and implementation of sourcing and category management strategies for all market related sourcing requirements. The role optimizes costs, manages supplier relationships and ensures compliance with data compliance regulations.

Tasks
- Development and execution of sourcing and category management strategies for all MDS-related sourcing needs
- Optimizing costs, managing supplier relationships, managing data compliance and aligning procurement activities with UBS's technology and digitalization goals
- Lead a team of category managers and sourcing specialists in the creation and execution of category and sourcing strategies (including developing supplier plans and sourcing strategies, building partnerships)
- Responsibility for the delivery of category performance across all dimensions of the category scorecards, monitoring the measurement of all KPIs and implementing corrective actions
Requirements
- Ideally 15+ years of experience in procurement, category management, VRM and/or sourcing
- Deep understanding of the MDS domain
- Proven experience in contract management
- Experience in identification and evaluation
- Strong strategic and analytical mind
- Expert negotiation and deal-making
- Ability to communicate with senior managers
- Strong personnel management and coaching
