Job description: Lead Murex Developer

Tasks

• Technical Leadership: Provide strategic technical guidance and oversight for the development and maintenance of the Murex platform and related components to ensure alignment with business objectives and industry standards.
• Agile program planning and execution: actively participate in program increment planning, collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize program backlog items.
• Application environment and configuration management: Monitoring the configuration and management of core applications, including Murex and in-house applications.
• Software development and enhancement: development, testing and deployment of new tools, services, business logic and product features.
• On-call service and production support: Ensuring that business-critical functions are available, properly configured and performing optimally in production environments.
• Regulatory and/or risk management responsibilities: Demonstrate appropriate values and behaviors, including standards of honesty and integrity.

Requirements

Skills

• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, architecture or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in software development.
• Experience with Java applications.
• Experience with messaging systems (e.g. MQ, Kafka etc.).
• Process-oriented technical experience with the various modules in Murex (MX3.1).
• Good experience in the design and configuration of Murex pre-trade rules.

Language and certification

• Excellent English, both spoken and written.
• Computer science - financial engineering (nice to have).
• Program certification (nice to have).
