Lead Quantitative Developer - Systematic
As a Lead Quantitative Developer at M&G Group, you will develop and implement quantitative trading strategies using machine learning, Python, and modern cloud technologies. The position requires at least five years of experience in software development for quantitative applications, as well as fluency in English and Chinese.
The Role
- You will play a key role in developing and implementing our quantitative trading strategies, which involve machine learning, data science, statistics, and econometrics.
- You will work closely with our research team to develop, test, and deploy new trading strategies, and you will be responsible for optimizing existing strategies for performance and scalability.
Our Technologies
- Our platform runs almost entirely on Linux, and most of our code is written in Python, using the full scientific stack—NumPy, SciPy, sklearn, pymlabourate, scikit-image, sklearn—as well as deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, etc.
- We also have infrastructure written in Java and based on Kubernetes to manage execution, order book management for our own control unit, and other components for workflow management.
- You will also gain experience with the following tech stacks: Jenkins for continuous integration, Grafana + Prometheus for metrics collection, Docker for containerization, ArgoCD for deployment automation, a k8s-based CI/CD pipeline, and internal custom systems.
- To keep up with technological advancements in 2016, we constantly evaluate new tools and frameworks.
Key Competencies
Essential
- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, preferably with a focus on quantitative applications
- Experience as a technical analyst or private client, including hands-on development (Linux, building tools, and applying your expertise in smart and scientific software to production trading infrastructure)
- Extensive experience with Python (advanced) and familiarity with related technologies: NumPy, Pandas, etc.
- Experience developing advanced statistical learning techniques, including the creation of metrics (metrics for assessing and optimizing the trading performance of portfolios, data analytics based on market data, and predicting market levels)
- Working knowledge of advanced statistics and machine learning frameworks (SciKit-Learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
- Familiarity with common cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services
- Fluent in English and Chinese
Advantages
