Lead, Software Engineer

Overview

• Northern Trust is looking for an experienced and dynamic Lead Software Engineer to join our IT Technology team.
• As a senior application consultant, you will be responsible for analyzing problems, designing and modernizing applications, providing support for application development, troubleshooting end-to-end solutions, and delivering high-quality, scalable, and innovative solutions.
• Your role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery, aligning technical solutions with business objectives, and contributing to the ongoing evolution of our technology landscape.
• In addition, you will be responsible for mentoring junior partners, enforcing application standards across multiple repositories, and supporting seamless agile development workflows with offshore delivery teams.

Leadership & Strategy

• Define and maintain IT architecture initiatives aligned with business strategy and strategic execution capabilities.
• Implement new technology solutions and platforms that support the business vision and operational needs.
• Work with clients to evaluate business components that enable solution development.
• Sketch out architectural designs and make the best technical architectural decisions.
• Ensure collaboration; work together; trust partner communities; integrate releases early and continuously.
• Engaging with stakeholders to establish security, compliance, risk, and regulatory standards.
