Head of Credit Management

Glarner Kantonalbank is seeking a Head of Credit Management (m/f) in Bern to lead and develop the department using their experience and leadership skills. The position offers a varied role with excellent opportunities for growth and attractive employment terms.

Tasks

  • Management and development of the Credit Management Bern organizational unit, with a phased rollout
  • The onboarding process and the handover of responsibilities will take place in several steps, guided by the current incumbent
  • Development, management, and monitoring of the qualitative and quantitative performance of the Credit Center Bern 2 team
  • Ensuring compliance with agreed-upon service level agreements
  • Maintenance and further development of existing processes and guidelines
  • Collaborating on projects and organizing the onboarding of new B2B customers (drafting contracts, defining processes)
  • Communication with and Support for B2B Customers

Requirements

  • Basic commercial training (EFZ) or equivalent training, followed by further education at the bachelor’s or master’s level in banking and finance
  • Several years of banking experience in the financing sector (sales or processing)
  • Several years of management experience in the back office (at the department or team lead level)
  • Empathetic leadership skills, a strong sense of personal responsibility, and a structured approach to work
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, along with pragmatic problem-solving abilities
  • Strong customer and service orientation, highly proactive, and open to change
