Cashier Manager

Bank J. Safra Sarasin is seeking a Head of Cashier Services to oversee and strategically manage cashier operations in Zurich, Basel, and Geneva, and to create a first-class service environment for private clients. The position requires at least five years of experience in a cashier role, as well as a strong customer focus, integrity, and leadership experience.

Your role

As Head of Cashier Operations, you will bear primary responsibility for the professional management and strategic oversight of cashier operations. As a key point of contact, you will ensure the smooth processing of all cash and non-cash transactions. In this critical role at the forefront of customer service, you will uphold our high quality standards and, through your expertise, ensure strict compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies. Together with your team, you create a first-class service environment that consistently meets the discreet and exclusive expectations of our national and international private clientele.

Your tasks

  • Management and coaching of tellers and cashiers
  • Monitoring physical cash balances and ensuring that deposits, withdrawals, and precious metal transactions are properly recorded
  • Responsible for the secure safekeeping of valuables and compliance with strict security regulations
  • Strict compliance with due diligence requirements for cash transactions and monitoring of "Know Your Customer" (KYC) processes at the counter
  • Regular reconciliation of cash accounts to prevent discrepancies and risks
  • Ensuring a discreet and exclusive level of service
  • Planning resource allocation and vacation schedules while ensuring operational flexibility
  • Assumption of additional responsibilities in payment processing

Your profile

  • Completed vocational training or similar banking training
  • At least 5 years of experience in a cashier role in a similar setting
  • Experience in payment processing and compliance is a plus
  • A strong customer focus, trustworthiness, a strong work ethic, integrity, and a high sense of responsibility
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership experience
  • Fluency in German and English; knowledge of French is a plus
