Your tasks

• Responsibility for the management and further development of the Operational Risk division as "second Head of Operational Risk"
• Personal, professional and strategic management of an organizational unit with approx. 20 employees
• Assessment, management and monitoring of the operational risk profile, operational resilience and preparation for the effective design of the risk management framework, including operational risk event reporting and remediation
• Responsibility for embedding the operational risk framework across the business and contributing to the organization's risk and control culture through training and raising awareness of the importance of risk management
• Ensuring the successful execution of OpRisk projects and smooth cooperation with various stakeholders (legal & compliance, internal audit, risk management) in front and logistics units
• Supporting the Chief Risk Officer in setting entrepreneurial and efficiency-oriented

Your profile

• You have a university degree in a STEM subject, economics, finance (university, ETH) - specific risk certificates and a CFA degree are a plus
• You have proven and long-standing professional experience in the management of an operational risk function in the financial sector and are able to demonstrate this persuasiveness and assertiveness
• You have in-depth knowledge of local regulatory requirements, industry peers and best practices in the areas of operational risk management/ICS incl. IT and cyber risks, international experience is a plus
• You have proven experience in leading specialist teams and are able to motivate your employees and lead them to peak performance
• You are characterized by strong analytical skills and, thanks to your familiarity with the processes of a universal bank and experience in the application of risk management frameworks, you are able to quickly grasp complex issues, identify problems and identify solutions
• You have excellent communication skills and can present complex topics in an understandable, addressee-oriented or convincing way and motivate stakeholders to actively cooperate with you
• You are a strong, resilient, proactive and independent personality
• You are fluent in written and spoken German and English
