Liquidity Risk Manager (Vice President)
Nomura is seeking an experienced Liquidity Risk Manager (Vice President) for its Risk Management department in Frankfurt, Germany. The position involves further developing the liquidity risk management framework, analyzing stress scenarios, and representing the local risk function on senior committees.
Tasks
- Contribute to the global development of a second-line framework for liquidity risk management and its application in the region
- Ensure that the second-line legal entity liquidity risk management framework and procedures are in line with best practices.
- Identify and implement potential improvements to the Risk Framework. Ensure that all such improvements—including process design and flexible reporting and disclosure—are in line with best practices.
- Review and ensure the adequacy of available funding and liquidity; analyze stress scenarios and assess the adequacy of liquidity
- Support the Risk Inventory and Strategy process and review whether the controls in place are robust and support compliance with the risk appetite
- Identify areas for improvement in the current liquidity management assumptions.
- Challenge explanations for changes in reported data (e.g., liquidity profiles, risk appetite)
- Represent the local Risk function on relevant senior committees (e.g., ALCO, RMC)
Requirements
- Good prioritization skills and a strong work ethic
- Knowledge of global financial risk management frameworks, regulations, and regulatory requirements
- Practical knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices regarding second-line management of Treasury
- The candidate must be eligible to work in Germany.
