LISBON TEAM LEAD - MIDDLE OFFICE TRADE SERVICES, Lisbon, Operations, Full-time

About the role

The position involves a range of activities supporting trading operations (e.g., trade support, documentation). Middle office staff support complex product areas (e.g., bonds, equity derivatives) and possess in-depth knowledge of their product area.

Your tasks

- Booking and exception management for micro and macro hedges across all instrument types and asset classes (equities, bonds, and derivatives (equity, rates, FX)) - Lifecycle management of all types of OTC and exchange-traded derivatives - Handling trades from various platforms - Troubleshooting a wide range of issues in trading, treasury, sales, risk, and reconciliation - Leadership:
  • Identify opportunities for automation in daily tasks, coordinate with relevant partner teams, and take the initiative to launch and support the implementation process
  • Taking responsibility for training junior team members in the various tasks in which he or she is an expert
  • Training and motivating team members to improve the overall quality of the tasks the team handles
  • Supporting each member of your team in their personal development by identifying their strengths and weaknesses and taking appropriate action
  • Involving top performers in projects and delegating tasks and responsibilities accordingly
  • Investing in and establishing a team department

Your requirements

- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in finance or economics - 2+ years of experience in middle office or related roles - Fluent English - MS Office - SQL - Customer focus - Accountability and integrity - Teamwork and collaboration - Resilience - Attention to detail
