The position of Local Head of Private Banking Support in Dubai involves responsibility for providing operational support to the Private Banking division, including process control, risk management, and regulatory compliance. Job Description
The role of Head of Private Banking Support (HoPBS) focuses on preventive controls to enhance effectiveness and ensure consistency in operational processes. Together with the Local PBCOO and the Head of Private Banking (HoPB), she is responsible for the First Line of Defense (FLoD) to ensure an effective, risk-controlled, and regulatory-compliant operating environment for the Private Banking function in Dubai, UAE.Key Areas and Responsibilities
The most important tasks include:- Coordination of control activities in accordance with the Global Private Banking Control Blueprint, while adapting to local regulatory requirements
- Proactively identifying, managing, and mitigating risks arising from business operations, including, but not limited to, AML/KYC risks, cross-border risks, and suitability risks
- Ensuring the quality and timeliness of activities carried out by frontline staff, such as the content of Client Information Profiles (CIPs), account documentation, and periodic relationship reviews
- Approval of periodic client, business intermediary, and independent asset manager reviews, as well as CIP amendments and new standard risk accounts, in accordance with the authority delegated by the HoPB
- Monitoring the timely resolution of outstanding items (follow-ups) and addressing issues related to client lifecycle activities
- Proactively gathering feedback from the front lines to improve the efficiency of day-to-day operations
- Effective Management of Internal Audits and Operational Risk Incidents
