Lombard Credit Officer
The Lombard Credit Officer at Julius Baer in Singapore is responsible for analyzing, underwriting, and monitoring Lombard loans, as well as ensuring compliance with risk standards. The role involves evaluating loan applications, preparing risk reports, and working closely with various departments to optimize processes.
Tasks
- Management of a portfolio of accounts, encompassing end-to-end processes, including monitoring, exception handling, and review of credit documentation
- Evaluation and credit review/approval of loan applications for Lombard and insured credit lines, margin trading in foreign currencies, exchange-traded and OTC derivatives, delegated credit approval authority for new/increased lines of credit and annual reviews within a timely framework, high-risk accounts, and escalation for discussions with the front office regarding risk mitigation measures to prevent losses
- Review and assessment of the portfolio in the monthly risk report, quarterly stress test, and ad hoc reports to identify high-risk accounts and escalate them for discussion with the front office regarding risk mitigation measures to prevent losses
- Maintain a close partnership with Front Office, Legal, IT Operations, Compliance, and other departments to promote customer-centric solutions while ensuring compliance with group-wide risk authorization policies and guidelines
- Collaborate with the legal department and external advisors to obtain and review legal opinions related to Lombard proposals, structures, transitions, and non-standard documentation
- Contributing to the improvement of processes, procedures, and systems to enhance operational efficiency and credit risk management
