M&A, Associate (New York, US)
Alantra is seeking an M&A Associate for its New York office to assist with financial analysis, due diligence, and transaction support for mid-sized companies. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred), a strong background in finance, and the ability to develop complex financial models.
Responsibilities
- Develop and create pitch materials
- Prepare client presentations and transaction documents, including but not limited to teasers, confidential information memoranda, and management presentations
- Conduct extensive financial and valuation analyses
- Build advanced financial models that help determine appropriate capital structures, financial coverage, and sensitivity to key variables
- Conduct comprehensive industry- and company-specific research
- Develop marketing strategies, reach out to buyers, and target specific prospects
- Manage due diligence and provide transaction support
- Support transaction negotiations
- Participate in the recruitment, development, training, and mentoring of analysts and junior staff

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred. A major in business, finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of M&A and capital raising, with the ability to apply those skills creatively to meet the diverse needs of clients
- Solid knowledge of finance and accounting; ability to analyze and value businesses
- Excellent analytical, creative, and strategic thinking skills
- A team-oriented mindset combined with the ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize deliverables
- Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite; expert in Excel and PowerPoint
- FINRA Series 79/77 and 63 licenses are required, or must be obtained within the first six months of employment
