Alantra is seeking an M&A Consumer Analyst to join its New York and Boston offices to assist in advising clients in the consumer sector on M&A transactions and capital raising activities. The Analyst will be an important part of a dynamic team and will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects and develop long-term.

M&A, Consumer Analyst (New York & Boston, US)

Tasks

  • Developing and creating pitch materials
  • Preparation of client presentations and deal documents, including but not limited to teasers, confidential information memoranda and management presentations
  • Carrying out comprehensive financial and valuation analyses
  • Creating advanced financial models that help establish appropriate capital structures, financial arrangements and sensitivity to key variables
  • Preparation of comprehensive industry and company-specific research
  • Developing marketing strategies, conducting buyer outreach and targeting
  • Manage due diligence and provide transaction support
  • Support for transaction negotiations

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of relevant investment banking experience required
  • Bachelor's degree required, focus on business administration, finance, accounting or similar preferred
  • Strong knowledge of M&A and capital raising with the ability to creatively apply skills to a variety of client needs
  • Solid knowledge of finance/accounting; ability to analyze and evaluate businesses
  • Good judgment, especially on valuation issues; strong analytical skills, especially DCF's and LBO's, and the ability to fully explain previous deals
  • FINRA Series 79/7 and 63 licenses are required or must be obtained within the first six months of employment
