M&A, Industrial Analyst (New York, US)

Tasks

• Development and creation of pitch materials
• Preparation of client presentations and transaction documents, including, but not limited to, teasers, confidential information memoranda, and management presentations
• Conducting comprehensive financial and valuation analyses
• Developing advanced financial models that help establish appropriate capital structures, financial coverage, and sensitivity to key variables
• Conducting comprehensive industry- and company-specific research
• Development of marketing strategies, implementation of buyer targeting and target audience targeting
• Managing due diligence and providing transaction support
• Support in Transaction Negotiations
• Preparing investor materials, conducting research, and developing financial models

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred. A major in business, finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred
• Extensive knowledge of M&A and capital raises, with the ability to apply these skills creatively in a dynamic environment
• Solid knowledge of finance and accounting; ability to analyze and evaluate companies
• Good judgment, particularly in valuation matters; strong analytical skills, particularly in DCF and LBOs
• Excellent writing and communication skills with a keen eye for detail
• Proficiency in financial software (Excel, PowerPoint), BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and a portfolio of work
• FINRA Series 79/77 and 63 licenses are required or must be obtained within the first six months of employment
• Technical skills and the ability to work independently
• Strong analytical skills, the ability to learn quickly, and a desire to understand the specific nuances of the industry and provide strategic recommendations to clients
• Successful completion of several deals over the past 12–24 months
