M&A, Investment Banking, Healthcare Vice President

Alantra is seeking a Vice President for M&A and Investment Banking in the healthcare sector in New York to lead transactions and drive business development. The position requires in-depth knowledge of valuation methods, strong leadership skills, and a willingness to obtain licenses such as the FINRA Series 79 and 63.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the execution of transactions across buy-side and sell-side M&A and capital-raising activities (IPOs, PIPEs, and secondary sales).
  • Lead deal execution: From origination to financial modeling, valuation analysis, and preparation of marketing and deal process materials.
  • Manage due diligence workstreams and coordinate with clients, counterparties, and advisors.
  • Actively contribute to business development efforts, including identifying opportunities, preparing pitch materials, and participating in client meetings.
  • Support the growth of the Healthcare practice through thought leadership, industry insights, and relationship-building with corporations, investors, and strategic partners.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong academic background; a bachelor's degree is required (in business, finance, economics, or a related field). An MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate and execute transactions, with a proven track record of client engagement.
  • In-depth knowledge of valuation methodologies, capital structures, and transaction execution processes.
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple work streams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint required).
  • FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses required (or a willingness to obtain them within 6 months).
